Louis is a skilled finance professional with 10 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. He currently leads comprehensive FP&A responsibilities—from annual budgeting and revenue forecasting to ongoing profitability analysis across a mixed portfolio of project-based and retainer work—and partners closely with senior leadership to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, resource allocation, and growth planning for the firm.  

Before joining FTP, Louis contributed to high-impact finance teams at leading organizations including Boston Consulting Group, Brookfield Properties, and ProShares, where he played key roles in optimizing financial operations, enhancing reporting frameworks, and supporting strategic growth initiatives through robust modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven recommendations.

Gerhard is a manager on FTP’s operations team, where he oversees executive support, IT infrastructure, lobbying compliance, event management, and nonprofit administration for the firm. He joined the firm as an operations assistant, and now in his current role, Gerhard has built a comprehensive understanding of the firm from the ground up. Known internally as the “Fixer of Everything,” he brings a solutions-oriented approach to challenges ranging from technical troubleshooting to compliance workflows and new operational systems.

Before joining FTP, Gerhard completed a year of teaching service through AmeriCorps at Ballou High School in Southeast DC, gained hands-on experience in political campaign organizing, and worked in healthcare operations.

Samantha is an assistant on FTP’s operations team, where she provides executive support and helps manage the operational functions that keep the firm running efficiently. Her work spans executive calendar management, recruiting and onboarding coordination, event planning, office administration, subscription management, vendor coordination, and internal communications, partnering across teams to execute projects and support firm leadership.

Known for her organization and attention to detail, Samantha plays a key role in coordinating firmwide initiatives and creating streamlined processes that enhance both employee and client experience. She supports complex projects and cross-functional initiatives, approaching every task with a solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to exceptional service.

Before joining FTP, Samantha supported communications and marketing initiatives for nonprofit and media organizations. At Trident United Way, she developed press materials, created digital content, and coordinated community engagement campaigns. She also managed outreach and event promotion for an educational program with PressBox Sports Media and worked as a data analyst with Roscow Market Research, conducting survey testing and data analysis to inform strategic client campaigns.

Originally from Owings Mills, Maryland, Samantha graduated cum laude from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Psychology.

Emily is a vice president on the operations team at FTP. She oversees the firm’s day-to-day business operations and supports the execution of strategic priorities across the organization. Emily manages the firm’s political events portfolio, overseeing event strategy and logistics. She also directs the firm’s internship program, leading recruitment, onboarding, and professional development efforts for interns across multiple practice areas each semester.

Since joining FTP in 2015, Emily has held a series of increasingly senior roles across the organization. Throughout her tenure, she has supported strategic planning and financial forecasting, managed board governance activities, designed and implemented firm-wide operational processes, and helped guide the firm through significant milestones and periods of growth.

Prior to joining FTP, Emily worked in political fundraising where she supported fundraising strategy and event execution for political campaigns and nonprofit clients.

Emily graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. in Art History.

Liz Gonzalez is the senior vice president of operations at FTP, where she has served as a core member of the firm’s leadership team since its founding in 2012.

In this capacity, Liz works directly with the firm’s leadership to advance the firm’s strategic, operational, and organizational priorities, building and shaping the systems, infrastructure, and governance framework that supports the firm’s lobbying and advocacy work. She oversees all administrative and business operations across departments, with responsibility spanning human resources, financial and accounting management, performance management, leadership development, contract management, and compliance. Liz brings deep expertise in people operations, building and improving scalable systems and processes, and cross-functional leadership.

Prior to joining FTP, Liz built a distinguished career in California public policy and community advocacy across private, public, and nonprofit sectors, including the California State Legislature, Asian Resources, Inc., Sacramento Works for Better Health, and The California Endowment.

Bennett is a senior finance and operations associate on the FTP operations team. He supports financial operations, contract execution, and financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of service‑based work, partnering with internal teams to align client agreements and invoicing processes with engagement goals and helping ensure strong financial performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Bennett brings experience across financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, with a focus on improving profitability through detailed financial analysis and disciplined operational processes. He plays a key role in strengthening revenue visibility, enhancing billing accuracy, and improving collections performance, while supporting compliance with revenue recognition standards and internal controls.

Before joining FTP, Bennett served as a financial management professional at Accenture, where he supported the financial oversight of federal contracts. He began his career in audit at General Dynamics, developing a strong foundation in financial controls and regulatory compliance. Bennett holds a degree from Clemson University and is based in Falls Church, Virginia.
