The People You Want in the room

Access opens doors. People change outcomes.

Our team includes former congressional staff, administration officials, campaign veterans, communicators, digital strategists, researchers, corporate leaders, and policy experts who have spent their careers working at the intersection of policy, politics, and public affairs.

Meet the Team

Our experience gives us a practical understanding of how decisions get made and what it takes to move issues forward. It also gives our clients access to perspectives that span industries, issue areas, and every level of government. We believe the best solutions come from bringing together people with different experiences, different viewpoints, and a shared commitment to solving problems. That’s been part of FTP’s culture from the beginning, and it’s one of the reasons clients continue to trust us with their most important challenges.

The FTP Story

What started as a small bipartisan government relations firm has grown into a fully integrated public affairs consultancy with national reach, deep expertise, and one goal: helping clients solve tough problems and get results.

Forbes Tate Partners
is Founded

Jeff Forbes and Dan Tate Jr. launched Forbes Tate Partners with a simple idea: bring together experienced advocates who could help clients navigate Washington and win on the issues that matter most.

Forbes Tate Partners
Expands

As the firm grew, so did its capabilities. Forbes Tate Partners expanded beyond traditional lobbying to build an integrated public affairs practice spanning advocacy, communications, research, digital strategy, and coalition building. Along the way, the firm established expertise across health care, energy, tax, trade, agriculture, telecommunications, and other highly regulated industries.

Forbes Tate Partners is Acquired by PPHC

A decade after its founding, Forbes Tate Partners became part of Public Policy Holding Company, connecting the firm to a broader international network of public affairs, government relations, and strategic communications professionals.

Forbes Tate Partners
Evolves

The firm celebrated its 10th anniversary and a decade of evolution. What began as a small government relations shop had become a nationally recognized public affairs firm with nearly 80 professionals and award-winning capabilities across advocacy, communications, digital, research, and stakeholder engagement.

Forbes Tate Partners Becomes FTP

Forbes Tate Partners announced its first major leadership transition, with Managing Partner Robert Mathias stepping into the firm's top leadership role. The firm also introduced a new brand identity, shortening its name from Forbes Tate Partners to FTP—a reflection of how the firm had evolved and where it was headed next. The next chapter isn't about changing who FTP is. It's about becoming more of what it's always been.

Drive is in our DNA

FTP Core Beliefs 01

We operate outside our comfort zone because our client challenges demand it. Our bias is toward action, testing new ideas and approaches while staying grounded in sound judgment.
